Positive Response to the Accutron® CT-D Vision
The 103rd German Congress of Radiology in Presence was held under the motto “Living Diversity – Shaping the Future”. Diversity, sustainability, 50 years of computed tomography and interventional radiology were the main topics of the presence event, which took place from May 25 to 27 in Wiesbaden. MEDTRON AG's participation with an on-site booth was the first since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic. Accordingly, the anticipation was great among the participants.
Foundation "Bärenherz" is happy about more than 4.000 Euros
There was a great atmosphere in our beer garden, which we managed together with our partners Dr. Wolf, Beckelmann & Partner GmbH and Infinitt Europe GmbH in the outdoor area. The proceeds from the sale of the grilled delicacies and drinks went to the Wiesbaden-based Bärenherz foundation. A proud 4.135 euros went to the children's and youth hospice. Many thanks to all visitors!
Presence workshops for the presentation of the Accutron CT-D Vision met with great approval
The MEDTRON Sales Team DACH and our product management team gave presentations on how high operating comfort and safety in contrast medium injection work. In 45-minute workshops, Birte Cordes (Product Manager), Jörg Feber (Head of Sales Germany) and Lutz Glössner (Area Sales Manager Southwest Germany) presented the Accutron® CT-D Vision with its innovative technical and functional benefits.
A special highlight of the new diagnostic specialist: the software option Injection Data Sharing (IDS). Thanks to the RIS/PACS connection and a newly designed user interface, the ease of use in contrast medium injection is significantly increased. Another plus: The data transfer takes patient safety into account to a high degree.

Bravo, well done! We thank our distributor Emmedi Instruments for the professional representation of MEDTRON in Italy and the great current success.
What is it about?
Already at the beginning of 2021, MEDTRON and Emmedi Instruments secured a notable position in the national framework tender “CONSIP” to supply Italian hospitals with MRI contrast media injectors.
In this imaging equipment tender, Siemens Healthcare and Philips Healthcare were ranked first and second, respectively, and are now entitled to supply 50% and 30% of the total demand for magnetic resonance tomographs - the remainder will be shared by the other manufacturers. The MR injectors required for the equipment installed by Siemens will be supplied exclusively by MEDTRON. This is a great success - the majority of the MRI scanners in this tender will run with MEDTRON injectors!
The first installations by Siemens have already started - so MEDTRON was also happy to provide and install the injectors required for this. Many more will follow in the coming months - so there is a lot of work ahead for MEDTRON's production and Emmedi's staff!
There is also good news from the CONSIP Angio tender - where Philips Healthcare was able to secure 100% of the Cathlab as well as the Vascular Part - also here MEDTRON will exclusively supply its Accutron HP power version as well as the table version for all Angio systems. Once again, a big thank you to our world-class partner, Emmedi Instruments!
By way of explanation, CONSIP S.p.A. is a government agency responsible, among other things, for the nationwide procurement of medical equipment for use in Italian public hospitals.

SALES ACTIVITIES OF OUR HEAD OF SALES MENA REGION
SHORT REPORT ON THE JFTR CONGRESS IN TUNISIA
Our sales expert and Head of Sales MENA Region, Dima Issa Darazi, spent a talk-intensive and successful May 2022, starting with the “21st Journees Franco-Tunisiennes de Radiologie”, short: JFTR, near Hammamet in Tunisia. Here, the opportunity arose to (finally) get into personal business exchange with our local partner in Tunisia - the IGE team. On May 6 and 7, Dima took the opportunity to meet with key customers and partners from the imaging industry, to build and intensify business relationships and to present the new Accutron CT-D Vision.
SUCCESSFUL MEETING AT THE PAIRS IN DUBAI
Following JFTR, Dima traveled to Dubai to attend the Pan Arab Intervention Radiology Society (PAIRS).
The congress, held May 11-14, is considered the largest endovascular and interventional conference in the Middle East. Key delegates and numerous experts from the MENA region gathered here to participate in the high-profile event.
Dima was pleased to meet the local MEDTRON partner from the United Arab Emirates and important customers here to discuss potential projects and collaborations.

14TH PETERSBERG SYMPOSIUM
RADIOLOGY MEETS VIROLOGY - PNEUMOLOGY - CARDIOLOGY
From May 5 to 6, 2022, MEDTRON AG supported the organizers, the Bender Group Baden-Baden, during their 14th Petersberg Symposium in Königswinter. After many advanced training events were either designed purely virtually or cancelled altogether due to the pandemic, the symposium on the Petersberg near Bonn was again held as a face-to-face event.
The first day of the two-day symposium, which was chaired this year by Dr. Bernd Sommer (Bad Honnef), Prof. Dr. Bernd Hamm (Berlin) and Prof. Dr. David Maintz (Cologne), focused on cardiology. The pneumological topics of the following day were closely related to the subsequent virological part.
In addition to more than 30 participants for the symposium, there were additional speakers at the get-together evening. We used the two days of the event to intensify business contacts and make new ones.
REVIEW OF THE JPR 2022 IN SÃO PAULO
Most Important Congress in South America
Giuseppe Romano (Director of Sales, Marketing & Distribution), Raphael David (Head of Sales EMEA/LATAM/APAC) and Walter Eichhorn (Area Sales Manager LATAM) represented MEDTRON AG at the JPR Radiology Congress in São Paulo, Brazil. Together with Pierre Bardy, Medatlas, our master distributor for LATAM, Giuseppe, Raphael and Walter met for business-strategic meetings with regional business partners, not only for the Brazilian market but also for the other countries in South America. The JPR (Paulista Radiology Conference) represents a very important business arena for MEDTRON. Most of our regional business partners, who also attended the event, are headquartered in São Paulo. After the RSNA, which takes place annually in Chicago (USA), this congress is the second most important for the regions of North and South America.

Well-deserved retirement
All the best and much joy in retirement, dear Eberhard Krug! We take our internal jubilee celebration on June 10th as an opportunity to bid farewell to our esteemed colleague in his well-deserved retirement. Eberhard Krug was in charge of sales in Eastern Germany for many years. His successor, Semir Dzemaili, has already been supporting MEDTRON AG in this sales region since December 2021.
