Arab Health 2022 and pre-launch of the Accutron® CT-D Vision
Finally in person again! MEDTRON board member Bjørn Jochems and our sales experts Raphael David and Dima Issa Darazi presented the latest developments of our contrast media injectors and consumables at Arab Health 2022. The largest trade show highlight for the medical industry in the Middle East, which took place in Dubai from January 24 to 27, attracted a large number of visitors and brought MEDTRON into personal contact with potential customers, regional wholesalers and strategic imaging partners.
Professional pre-launch and pleasant get-together
On January 23, one day before the opening of Arab Health 2022, the MEDTRON team presented the Accutron® CT-D Vision on site with our product specialist Olivier Michel joining us live from Germany. After the welcome by Bjørn Jochems and Raphael David, Dima Issa Darazi presented an overview of the growth and development of MEDTRON sales in the region of Middle East, North Africa and Turkey and outlined the goals for this year.
The pre-launch served as an opportunity for the 22 participants to learn about the latest innovations and technologies of our state-of-the-art contrast injector Accutron®CT-D Vision, as well as its features and competitive advantages in combination with Day Safe System disposables.
The subsequent get-together with dinner at the "Bebabel" restaurant was attended by 40 people from different countries and two African states.
Of course, the events were held in compliance with all safety measures.
We would like to thank all MEDTRON partners for the pleasant and interesting discussions and look forward to seeing them again at Arab Health 2023.

Accutron® CT-D gantry version inspires Scan Medical Center in Hurstville
Since mid-December 2021, Scan Medical in Hurstville NSW Australia has been using an Accutron® CT-D mounted on the gantry of CT systems using a Siemens support arm. The gantry version offers the full range of features users can expect from a MEDTRON AG dual head injector, such as:
- the creation of multiphase injection profiles,
- simultaneous injection of contrast medium and saline solution, as well as
- Pre-Inject to minimize the extravasation of contrast medium.
Immediate availability of the Accutron® CT-D next to the CT scanner
Dr. Nicholas Chen, radiologist and user at Scan Medical Australian was impressed with the innovative design and the result of the joint effort between Siemens and MEDTRON. "We are pleased to be the first users of the gantry-mounted MEDTRON CT-D injector in Australia. By mounting the Accutron® CT-D directly to the gantry, the contrast injector is always available, right next to the CT scanner table. At the same time, we get excellent contrast examinations with the Siemens CT scanner."
Our distributor for Australia, EPIC-X Pty Ltd. is also pleased with the first installation of the Accutron® CT-D injector and praised the great cooperation with Siemens. Gantry mounting, i.e., positioning on a co-rotating pair of axes, provides flexible positioning while reducing cable clutter in the room.

Heike Rauch is the substitute during Alina Kancok's parental leave. Since January 1, she has been supporting Raphael David's Sales International team in the office. Customer Service also falls within Heike Rauch's area of responsibility.
Since December 2021, Semir Dzemaili has been responsible for Field Sales in Germany, Eastern Region. He will be accompanied by Eberhard Krug, who will be taking his well-deserved retirement during the course of the year.
The After Sales Service team has found expert support in Sebastian Ludwig. As a service technician, he looks after our customers in southern Germany, where he is responsible for the maintenance, installation and repair of our injectors.
